After The Rose: The Kings of Hearts...*(updated Aug.19 &9-13,Nov 19 & 20)*.

After the Rose we had no money coming in.  We had to come up with a plan.  One day I got a call from Dave.  He had an idea.  We could put together our own dance group.  Great idea!
We talked for a while about names and stuff and soon after Dave was over to my house and he had everything worked out.  Before I came  up with anything much, Dave had our name and logo!...and they were perfect!..."KINGS OF HEARTS"......!!
...The Kings Of Hearts were four guys:  Dave, Roger, Bill, and Ron.
We had all worked together in various groups or nightclubs and knew each other pretty well.
Each of us could find clubs for us and be in charge of the show that night...that guy would be the MC and also pay us at the end of the night......
We started dancing right away!  We put on shows at nightclubs all around Chicago and suburbs.
Dave and I mostly got the clubs.  I had some pictures and T-shirts made.  Some shirts were sold but a lot were given away or raffled off.
I took a couple of videos of our shows and some day I'll put some of it on the blog.  *(to be continued)*

The End Of The Rose...*(updated Aug. 24)*...

One evening I came to work and the door was locked.  Some we're there already and some others came along.  We couldn't figure it out!  We were ready for a great night: dancing to some of our favorite music for all those lovely ladies and making some money too!!...now this!
Turns out there was a fire!!!...And that was the end of the Rose.
A couple of days later they let us in to empty our lockers and take everything home.
Good bye Rose!
We had a great time while it was open. And the ladies had a great time too!

My Early Years...*(updated Aug. 16 and 24, & Nov. 8)*(1-28-20)*

I always rode my bike and hiked in the woods and canoed when I was in the Sea Scouts.  When I was about 15  I bought some spring exercisers- hand squeezers and wood bars with springs so I could do curls and presses.  I bought a book called "Super Karate Made Easy" and hitting a big cinder block covered with a towel.  I read Strength And Health magazine and I decided I had to have York Barbells!
I worked out 4 or 5 times a week, 2 to 3 hours each work out session.

And more.....
